May a New Mexico Bar member receive, credit for completing a
course by self-study?
Yes. Self-study credit may be given for viewing videotapes, DVDs,
or completing an online pre-recorded program prepared by accredited
organizations or obtained
from approved program providers. Program not to exceed 5 years old
from the date of original program. To receive credit for
self-study, you must follow the proper reporting procedures,
pay filing fees and submit form MCLE 04.
Are there limitations for self-study credit?
Yes. No more than four (4) hours of credit may be given during
any reporting year for self-study activities. Self-study
credit may not be carried over to subsequent year requirements
or backward to prior year requirements.
